„Ubuntu – Speyrisch anders“
Next year, it will finally be time again: after the unforgettable diocesan camps „Hawila Buscar“ in 2004 and „Zerzura“ in 2013, another diocesan camp will take place in 2026. This time, the adventure will lead us to one of the most beautiful places in Germany – the picturesque „Jugendsiedlung Hochland“ in the idyllic Alpine foothills, south of Munich, right on the banks of the Isar.
Imagine: 1,000 enthusiastic participants from the Diocese of Speyer and international guests coming together to spend a week full of community, fun, and unforgettable experiences. Under the inspiring title „Ubuntu – Speyrisch anders,“ we will immerse ourselves from July 25 to August 2 into a world where solidarity and new discoveries are at the heart of everything.
The campsite, surrounded by the breathtaking backdrop of the Alps and the soothing sound of the Isar, provides the perfect setting for our diverse and exciting program. Whether creative workshops, sports activities, evening campfires, or joint excursions into the impressive nature – there will be something for everyone.
Look forward to a colorful mix of adventure, relaxation, and new friendships. Together, we will create unforgettable memories that will stay with us long after the camp. More details and exciting information will follow soon – stay curious and look forward to a unique experience!

Name of the camp:
„Ubuntu – Speyrisch anders„
„Ubuntu“ is a term from the South African Bantu languages, especially Zulu and Xhosa, and it means „humanity“ or „being human.“ However, it represents more than just a literal translation. It is a philosophy that emphasizes that our humanity is defined through community: I am because we are.
